Avia B-35

Avia B-35/B-135 - a return to the classic Publications MBI format with this 88-page profile on this exquisite Czechoslovakian fighter used operationally by the Bulgarians. Commencing with an overview of the competing fighter monoplane projects of 1936, the book follows the successful Avia aircraft through its prototype development, as the fixed undercarriage B-35.1 and B-35.2, to the ultimate B-135 production model. World events would see to it that this lovely aircraft would not serve the Air Force for whom it was created, however In 1939 considerable interest in the type was shown by the Bulgarians, who pursued this interest through to the purchase of twelve machines; this, despite the full annexation of Czechoslovakia by the Germans and the outbreak of WW2. Largely relegated to a training role the aircraft would see one moment of brief combat glory, the story of which is told in this book. 3 pages of 1/72 scale drawings and 9 pages of colour artwork, including cockpit colour art, may be found within this title, which is also packed full of black and white photos and detail drawings featuring aspects of the machine, the book concludes with a technical description of the B-135. The text is fully bi-lingual in Czech and English printed on good quality art paper with glossy laminated covers, softback.

The cost of this publication is 10.90, plus 0.60 post and packing.
