The Airports of Prague 1918 - 1946 - by Lubomír Dudácek a departure from the well-established line of aviation and military profiles, this hardback book takes a fascinating look at the development of Civil Aviation within Czechoslovakia during this period. The first of two volumes to be published, celebrating the 80th Anniversary of the creation of an independent Czechoslovakia and the 75th anniversary of the formation of CSA - Czech Airlines. The book takes the form of a pictorial record documenting the planning, construction and development of the airports of Kbely and Ruzyne. The book also tells the story of the aircraft, their operators and the people and personalities concerned with the day-to-day life of the airports during this time frame. Consisting of some 200 pages with over 300 photographs and numerous, drawings and diagrams. The text is fully bi-lingual in Czech & English, dimensions, height 286 mm width 217 mm.
